From a very young age growing up in Florida- Julie loved to entertain and tell stories. Whether it was through her art, making funny voices and jokes, putting on skits or acting in plays. She especially loved comedy and making people laugh. Julie was very interested in theatrics and film, and learning about the world around her. Her favorite films were usually Animated, Comedies or Horrors.
In High School, Julie joined Drama Club and the National Art Honor Society. She loved creating artwork for her school, as well as attending theater classes to help put on shows. In her Senior Year, she became President of the National Art Honor Society. She also loved working with kids and was a volunteer face painter, and participating in fun improv groups at her school.
Julie was always artistic, drawing up comics & doodles all over her pages. Her favorite school projects were where she could showcase her art, such as her first children's book "Mr. Patter Teaches About Matter". Julie wanted a career where she could utilize her entertainment & artistic skills. She also loved to learn, about anything and everything- from Aviation to Science, History & Geography. She attended the Art Institute of Atlanta and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts & Animation. She was most interested in Animation because it had everything she loved: Drawing, Acting, Voice-Overs, Music, Illustration, Graphic Design & so much more. Julie then set out on her career path.
As she was attending school Full-Time, Julie also worked at various part-time jobs throughout the years while learning a variety of career skills: Customer service, sales, management, marketing, and more! In 2007, she began working at a company that specialized in Kid's Birthday Parties Entertainment doing face-painting, balloon art, clowning and other fun costumed characters.
Since she started Freelancing, opportunities were around every corner. From working with local clients and companies creating logos & flyers, to working with people across the world- illustrating children's books, animating videos, and even creating movies. In addition to Freelance Art, for over a decade she's been entertaining birthday parties & events doing balloons, magic, face painting, and character acting. She's also worked as a trivia host and tour guide around the city.
Every day is a new adventure! Always open-minded, curious, & driven- Julie can't wait to see what's going to happen next in life!
