Ready for the latest & greatest? I sure hope so! There's always so much to work on, I'll just have to get it to at least a couple times a month and when I have new things to add! I'd like to eventually turn this blog into something like The Oatmeal. Humorous, motivational, informative & fun!
Lately I've been doing a lot of work for IWeLife- They coordinate races around Atlanta & I do their Digital Marketing- that could be graphic designs, web designs, or my favorite- making videos!
Here's a video I created recently for the Red Hare Chase
Fun stuff! The rabbit character was already made by Red Hare's graphic designer, I got the file & animated it in Flash. This was created using Flash Animation & After Effects.
I know everybody's been waiting on updates for Muse- The Animated Series. Don't worry! We're keeping everybody posted.
In fact, we have a special little surprise coming up very soon!
Other than my daily work, just creating digital work to keep my skills sharp. Nothing new as far as animations. I'm thinking of creating a Halloween Short. The cover photo I have (Pumpkin Queen Kitsulie) was drawn from a sketch another user created of me on Reddit. Here's the original:
RedditGetsDrawn is a fun place to draw other people & get inspiration. It's also fun to get yourself drawn! I love seeing different styles & getting inspired, not to mention all the practice! This was drawn in Flash. I like creating the people into fun cartoons.
As you know, September 23rd was very recently, so I had to watch my favorite musical: Little Shop of Horrors. (During the intro, it says "On the 23rd day of the month of September..." ) I was able to watch the full original ending, in color. I like both endings, but the original ending is just amazing!
In return for them drawing me, I drew them on RedditGetsDrawn:
This is my favorite part of the musical. Sadly, Audrey dies. Before she does, she tells Seymour to feed her to the plant so they'll be together forever. She sings a reprise of "Somewhere that's Green", which is literally where she's going. He carries her over the threshold in her wedding gown to the plant. Love it! If you've never seen the original ending to the movie (which is how the play ends) You should definitely check it out.
I also made a fun Photoshop of Little Shop of Horrors and my other favorite musical, Dr. Horrible!
I've noticed that these two musicals share a lot of the same parallels. Guy likes the girl. She goes out with the guy who treats her badly. The more the main fellow tries to fix things, the worse he makes them and both are dark comedies with a tragic twist. Plus, both have great soundtracks!
One last thing. I fell down the stairs recently. AGAIN. That's right. Stairs do not like me. Stairs are my arch nemesis. Sure, I can do trapeze, stunts, tight rope walking, rock climbing, without any problems! But put me near some stairs and somehow I fall.
I decided to make a rough comic expressing the struggle:
In other news, I think I'd also like to make this blog a nice travel blog. Talking about adventures, posting maps and places to visit. It's a big world out there and I want to see it and share my opinions and research on it! Just like everything else! Learn & Teach.
So yeah, that's all for now! Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and stuff! There's lots more to come, so as always...
Blue Skies! Enjoy the chaos & Stay TOONED!
